Random mismtach has been a critical obstacle in achieving energy-efficient on-chip TRNG. Conventionally, a brute-force method such as run-time reconfiguration based-on past bit sequence has been adopted which is power hungry. We have discovered an internal charge storing phenomenon that cancels the mismatch effect. Our innovation eliminates the power-hungry monitoring and compensation circuits thus achieving the best energy-efficient. This is a break-through invention and we are looking forward to measure our circuit in advanced technology node.
