Paper on tiny true random number generator (TRNG) accepted for IEEE APCCAS conference.
After our publication of an ultra-fast, energy-efficient true random number generator (TRNG) at the IEEE NEWCAS conference, another paper on a compact true random number generator has been accepted for the IEEE APCCAS conference. This paper solves the problem of random mismatch using a self-biased, auto-zeroed latch topology by introducing coupling capacitors in the latch structure. Additionally, we improved the operating speed by 100x with an equalizing mechanism. For the first time, we have demonstrated that a TRNG can be as compact as a flip-flop. This marks another breakthrough in the TRNG field, and we look forward to testing our circuit in advanced technology nodes.
